Q4 2023 Performance of Top Dining Apps in Brazil: A Sensor Tower Analysis

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Brazil's dining and restaurant app landscape saw varied user engagement and download figures, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a look at the performance of the top five applications in this category.

McDonald's Offers and Delivery experienced a significant uptick in downloads, starting the quarter at 137K and peaking at 308K in the third week of November. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 2.4M and reaching a high of 3.4M in mid-November before stabilizing around 2.6M towards the end of December.

Burger King Brasil also saw a rise in its downloads, from 88K in the last week of September to over 103K by Christmas week. The app's weekly active users showed growth from 619K to a peak of 831K in mid-November, although they decreased to 622K by the year's end.

For Habib's, the download numbers fluctuated, with a notable high of 45K in the final week of the year. Active users for Habib's slowly increased, starting at 142K and ending the quarter with 163K.

Starbucks Brasil showed a downward trend in downloads, commencing at nearly 10K and descending to 4.7K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users varied, with an initial count of around 51K, a peak at 56K in early October, and a dip to approximately 45K by the quarter's close.

Lastly, Domino's Pizza Brasil downloads started at 4.1K, saw a mid-quarter increase to 4.5K, but ended at 2.7K. The weekly active users showed more stability, hovering around the 17K mark throughout the quarter.
